Xperia Z3: Duped by 'waterproof' false advertising

I took out a 'waterproof' Sony Xperia z3 on contract, took in in the water for a few minutes, and it died. SSS Cellular say warranty is void because of water damage, Sony say nothing can be done. <br> <br> Now I am very frustrated because I feel I've been duped by Sony's false advertising. I mean, there are much, much better devices out there which I had an option to get on my contract, by I chose the Z3 because it is 'waterproof'. But I've learned the hard way that it is an outright lie.<br> <br> I see on Hello Peter that many people are complaining about the same thing, but it doesn't seem that anyone has come back with a positive response. <br> <br> Can anyone shed some light for me? Has Sony actually assisted anyone? Has anyone taken them up for false adverti*****t?
