Don't ever buy a Sony product if you expect any support.

Four years ago I purchased a Sony Vaio laptop I attempted to contact Sony in South Africa to purchase a new battery however their support here is non existent. By the way, the computer states that the battery is in excellent condition, however it discharges within an hour from full. I contacted Sony Middle East and Africa who told me that they cannot help with a battery, perhaps I should try Sony USA. I have seldom experienced such "couldn't give a damn attitude" from a major international company and who treat their customers with total disdain. Why would anyone with an IQ point above double figures ever purchase a Sony product?
