Don't buy Sony TVs

Our 3 year old Sony TV went on the blink. The cost to repair would be more than a new TV. Acting through their Middle East Customer Centre it took 4 weeks to get a representative in South to reply and tell us Sony has closed down in South Africa, the tv is out of warranty so they are not interested in us at all. 3 years is hardly old for a TV, so beware if you are thinking of purchasing one.
