Cracked / shattered cell phone screen

I bought a Sony Xperia Z3 for my son for a Xmas present - costing R13000.00. He had seen it advertised on TV etc. and liked its features. After 9 days of having the phone, it slipped out of his pocket whilst sitting on a chair on the stoep and it fell onto tiled floor - a fall of 30 cm. Needless to say the screen shattered and the phone no longer worked. We took it to Sandton Vodacare for repairs and were quoted a price of around R3000.00 ( expensive). Two weeks later we were phoned to say the cost of the repair is R5500.00 ( the LCD was damaged also). Thus the phone would now of cost me R18500.00 in all. This phone is a ridiculously expensive phone and far too fragile to be of any use to anyone - this should be advertised as such, and not show us how useful it is to take pictures underwater.<br> <br> PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE --- SONY XPERIA Z3 ---- IT IS GOING TO BREAK AND IS NOT WORTH FIXING.<br> I shall never again ever buy a Sony product.
