<p>For the past 2 years I have logged many issues with Sonic regarding network speed in general. I have purchased a 10Mbps uncapped option from them at R1399/month. Yes, its expensive for 10Mbps. I am however a heavy user that easily reach 500Gb/month and would expect certain protocols to be throttled. Also, as this is a home package, I do expect slower speeds during office hours.</p> <p> </p> <p>Unfortunately I have not been getting anything close to 10Mbps after hours (4Mbps if I am lucky) and at times during the day when I work from home my VPN barely reaches 2Mbps. Issues only get lip service and there is no improvement on the measured speeds on my network at this point so bad that everything biffers. </p> <p> </p> <p>For now I do not have an option as there are no other service providers available, but the moment FTTH reaches our little suburb I will move. </p> <p> </p> <p>Sonic probably knows their time is limited and now are gouging their customers, oversubscribing to the point where the 10Mbps offering is not even half of that.</p> <p> </p> <p>Shame on you!</p>
