Bad bad bad service

I bought a pair of shoes on the 28th November 2015 from Solo walking fashion Kolonade. I told the sales consultant i am not from Pretoria and asked if it can be returned and was told i can. I found defects on the shoes. I do not live in Pretoria and could only return the shoes on 5th January. Now they refuse to refund me for the shoes but i may exchange them for others. Solo walking fashion has nothing I want or like. The manager told me to contact Solo head office via their website. This is really bad service given to me as the consumer. I want my money back.
