Solar Guru - bad installation

No commitment - after numerous arrangements to install, the installer cancelled at the last moment - even though on each occasion it cost me a days leave. No understanding of the requirements of the installation rules pertaining to the installation. Tried to convince me that an electrical test is not required (even though geyser has an electrical element. and requires an isolator within arms reach). I arranged own inspector for the electrical inspection. Findings included - no bonding (critical for electrified heaters). For the plumbing installation, I approached an independent PIRB inspector and the findings were so numerous that it has cost me more to rectify than the original purchase price. The sales team were average (did not wish to pre-inspect the installation prior to purchase). The installation team in my opinion is useless and will cost you more in the long run to ensure the installation is correct and complies with SANS. If utilizing the services of this company, I would 1st ensure that they provide their accreditation before even quoting (this they could not do, but kept indicating that they could perform the inspections if required - this is not an option - it is a pre-requisite).
