Caused damage
Terrible company our geyser didn't last long and was still under warranty so they came to replace it... It took weeks for them to actually come and when they did they ended up destroying my house and are refusing to sort out the damages they caused. I have been waiting for 2 weeks for them to do something but they haven't done anything.

Solar Beam Technologies does not honour their warranty.
Solar Beam Technologies does not honour their warranty and use false advertising. We have a 300litre solar geyser installed in 2016. It came with a 10 year warranty. This was the only reason why we paid Solar Beam the exuberant cost. And because they advertise that they have been in the business since 1978. The geyser rusted through and was replaced in 2017. Now with 4 months left on our warranty, the same thing happened, but they refuse to replace the geyser It seems they have new owners and their office and contact person is one lady in Durban. She firstly tried to imply that the geyser was installed in 2010, therefore out of warranty. Then she disputed the 10 year warranty on the contract. I had to point out the three signatures on the contract next to it. Then she did not know who Dennis Boshoff was who we signed the contract with. She then offered to fix the existing geyser as they do not use the same ***** anymore . I asked her to put it in writing in an email. She has since, responded that she is just visiting the hospital and would do it later, then she was on a skype meeting with her boss and would get back to me. I have asked for someone else to contact, with no response. It has been 3 weeks since their last communication. Please do not fall for their long standing legacy or10 year warranty.

Their guarantee seems to be worthless
We bought a 200L solar geyser in March 2021 which came with a 10 year guarantee, which is why we were willing to pay their very high price. It burst in August 2025. It worked pretty well until then, although we did have to replace the element twice. It has been almost two months with nothing done to honor the guarantee (we are using heated buckets for bathing at the moment). Every time I call, there is a new story about how they are about to do something, but nothing ever actually happens. They claimed that their people would be installing a new geyser in the area this past Monday and would come to take mine for repair after that, but they never came or contacted me in any way. The fact that they no longer have working email, that they no longer have a Jhb office, and that they seem to have only one employee in Durban that handles every call even when she is out of the office indicates that they are going out of business soon. I really don't think anyone should buy from them. If you do, do not rely on their guarantees or you may be waiting forever for them to honor what they promise.
