Worms/ Maggots in my Iwisa Package!!
Good day
I would like to bring it your attention that on the 29th of May 2024, I bought 12.5 kg of Iwisa Maize Meal from St. Michelles Spar in Orkney, North West Province.
We transferred the maize meal into a container we normally used to store it in, and we found what looked like grey butterflies and a web of maize meal. I ignored it and thought it was the only instance.
Today I am using the maize meal again and to our dismay, there is a whole infestation of live maggots together with what seems to be a spiderweb etc.
I am disappointed since our household was not using your brand for maize meal but in the past two instances, we have been buying Iwisa and this has happened.
We had sieved the maize meal so we can use it but what health implications would there be since we found LIVE worms in it?
