MAGGOT INFESTED IWISA SUPER MAIZE MEAL

On May 30, 2025, I purchased a 5 kg pack of Iwisa maize meal from my local Usave retailer in Ravensmead. As I was preparing to make some maize meal porridge, I opened the packaging and was shocked to find something moving inside. Upon closer inspection, I discovered it was a maggot wriggling in the maize meal. To my dismay, I realized that the entire pack was infested with maggots.

This experience has raised significant concerns for me regarding food safety and health. I was really looking forward to cooking with this maize meal, and now I feel disappointed and uneasy. I will need to return to the store to request a refund, but I am also worried because this was the last 5 kg pack on the shelf. This suggests that there may be more infested products that have already been sold to other customers, which is quite alarming.
