Expired porridge almost killed my son

I bought instant porridge at our local supermarket, I was happy because it was marked down to R10 each. I got home and made some for my 1year old son and two hours later my baby started vomiting and he Had a fever. I checked the porridge again a and there was no sign of any problem with it. I rushed my son to the doctor as he was now weak. I took the packet with me and only then did I realise it was expired. I was sold expired food. I'm as I disappointed and I regret buying this porridge because I'm not working but because of desperation I ended up paying R350 at the doctor. So it's R360 down the drain. I'm so angry at myself for not sticking to the porridge I'm used too.
