SMEG toaster and kettle

My husband and I purchased a SMEG toaster and kettle 4 years ago. A few months after purchase, the kettle’s soft close lid started to pop open. The kettle was sent for repairs twice in under 2 years. Thereafter, the kettle started to leak just after the warranty was over. When we contacted SMEG, we were told that it cannot be fixed. The toaster just stopped working. Low quality brand and very bad after service.
