Smeg looks amazing but has poor quality products, not a great investment

I bought a Smeg - 1.7 Litre Kettle in 2019, after paying R2499 for a kettle I was hoping the quality would last much longer than it has. Our kettle has started leaking just above the power nob and have now damaged our kitchen counter, as I do understand that our warranty is not valid anymore, I'm not willing to pay another R1800 for a trade in, what is the solution here where can I take my kettle for repairs to ensure this will not happen again
