Smeg Kettle Poor Workmanship

I bought my Smeg kettle in November 2021 but only started using it February 2022. A few months after starting to use it, I noticed a paint bubble forming on the outside of the slate grey kettle. The ‘bubble’ gradually grew with every boil, until we took it to the Smeg SA offices on 2985 William Nicol drive in Bryanston. We were told that there’s nothing they can do as the kettle is now out of warranty and should take it into a “regular appliance repair shop”. Now here is the problem, the kettle works perfectly (I.e. Boils water as it ought to) but we have been informed by multiple repair shops that they cannot fix aesthetics issues and Smeg should handle it.

I paid R4k for a kettle that doesn’t look how it needs to look and the manufacturer refuses to do something about it - what is one supposed to do in this case?
