SMEG French door Fidge and Freezer is 5 years old

I have purchased a SMEG French door fridge from Hirsch Fourways in 2020 the fridge is only 5 years old and the fridge stop cooling and freezing, so we called Hirsch Fourways and they advised the warranty is finished as it only has 3 years. No problem , can you give me a person from SMEG to ask them to come and sort my fridge out, So Friday (21/02/2025) during the day we called SMEG and the lady who answered said we must fill in some form and that they cant send out someone to assess the fridge in the weekend, so SMEG does not have anyone to repair the fridge as it is a weekend which I think is poor service. Nevertheless a person named Kyle came out to assess the problem on Saturday after we tried to contact them by calling and WhatsApp a lot of times, eventually they answered. Paid Kyle the call out fee which he wanted cash which is another inconvenience as many people don’t carry cash. All he did was tell us the part we need to fix which is an inverter, so we said please send us the quote as we need the fridge to work, and our food is going off. On Monday morning my husband because we did not get the quote over the weekend, eventually they send us the quote from MAK appliance who said please make payment for part and labor which is another R3391, which we immediately did and just for Kyle or MAK appliance to tell us that they are waiting for money to reflect before coming out to repair (in his message to my husband he stated that we must make payment immediately and not a pay and clear immediately) like he told us before to have cash for him then maybe he could of told us the same. They now saying only when the money reflects will the come out take note MAK Appliance banks with standard bank, and I bank with FNB. At this point being SMEG which is a big brand it’s so unfair on a consumer. Please investigate your services providers and get a team to work weekends as this can happen anytime. Really disappointed in the service as everything in my house is SMEG and was bought from Hirsch Fourways. I will rethink my brand moving forward.
