SMEG exorbitant procing Call Out Fee **********

<p>Had 3 issues witha smeg stove that is 4 years old</p> <p> </p> <p>asked smeg if they could repair</p> <p> </p> <p>sent mail with full list and photpos of what repair needed to be done along with serial number and model number of stove</p> <p> </p> <p>told before they will come out i need to understand that there is a r 500 call out fee which needs to be paid cash on day</p> <p> </p> <p>guy arrives im at work looks at stove</p> <p> </p> <p>next day i get a quote for all repairs</p> <p> </p> <p>quote in 4148 rand odd</p> <p> </p> <p>a new defy equivalent stove costs 10 000 so by same thinking 40% of my smeg is broken</p> <p> </p> <p>quote has 10 line items</p> <p> </p> <p>7 are new and unneeded</p> <p> </p> <p>original 3 that i asked for add up to 1928 rand</p> <p> </p> <p>******* items not needed add up to 2200</p> <p> </p> <p>so for r500 nothing is repaired</p> <p> </p> <p>what i have is a piece of paper that says pay 4148.</p> <p> </p> <p>hardly value for money</p> <p> </p> <p>if you need a new stove avoid smeg buy a defy</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
