Smeg 1.7L Retro Kettle Blac Quality Issues

I bought a Smeg 1.7L Retro Kettle Black and a toaster from Hirschs in November 2022 - supposedly with a 2 year warranty. The toaster is fine but the Kettles black paint is falling off. For such an expensive product, it is really bad quality and not made to last very long. I am really disapointed as I love the look of it, when it wasnt falling apart.
