Retro kettle and toaster

To Whom it may concern,

As much as I love the look of the retro kettle and toaster, the actual functionality and quality of the products have not been good.

The SMEG logo on my kettle keeps peeling off (despite swapping my kettle out with a new the logo continues to fall off every-time) it really makes no sense to put that kind of adhesive on a kettle that reaches boiling point, it just doesn’t stick! My kettle now says ‘’me’ on both sides - see references attached.

As for the toaster, only one of the elements in each slot actually work so making toast is a ten minute job, we have to toast the one side, flip the bread over and then toast the other side, hardly ideal when you in a hurry in the morning.

Overall the quality of these premium products have been disappointing. This is totally not what I expected when paying well over the standard amount for a kettle and toaster. As a customer who has experienced such poor quality products from your “small appliances” department I am now wary of purchasing from your “large appliance” department and I’ve always had my eye on the SMEG gas stove. It goes to show how once a brand has broken your trust with quality it’s really not easy to go back for more.

I would appreciate some insight on the above. I can’t be the only customer with this complaint?
