Poor quality

We bought a red smeg kettle and after a few months the paint is coming off. I cannot use my kettle as more and more of the paint is coming of at the section where the lid opens which then causes the paint to bubble up, tear and fall in the water. Very disappointing as I had to save up to buy my favourite kettle.
