Maintenance

When we built our home just over 4 years' ago we opted to purchase only SMEG products for our kitchen as we had the impression that they were high-end, reliable, good quality products. We purchased a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge and freezer, oven, hob and extractor. With the exception of the microwave, every one of our SMEG products have required maintenance in the past 4 years, some of them more than once. In the past when we have had much cheaper and more common brands, such as Defy, LG and Bosch, this has certainly not been the case and these products would go many years without requiring any maintenance at all. Surely when you are paying a premium for what is deemed to be a top quality brand this should not be the case?
