Leaky rusted Smeg kettle

Smeg is ***! Sorry for my language. I tried to be civil about this. I contacted them about my kettle that's leaky and rusted after 1 year of use. I received it as a gift which is why it's out of warranty amd explained this to them and all I got was a sorry but its about out warranty and all we can offer is half price which is almost R1600! Why would I ever buy a Smeg again if it leaks and rusts after 1 year of use! Sies! I expected more from such an ridiculously expensive brand. Really not worth the money at all. I would rather buy 10 pick and pay no name brands which would surely last a life time.
