Extremely Disappointed – Faulty Smeg Washer Dryer & Unacceptable Service - If I wanted this much drama from a spin cycle, I’d have joined a reality show.

I purchased a Smeg washer dryer at the Smeg outlet in Linbro, December 2024, with high expectations, but it has been nothing short of a nightmare from day one. The machine has consistently malfunctioned, getting stuck mid-cycle and failing to complete washes — except for the Rapid 12 cycle, which is the only one that works. Despite reporting the issue and sending the machine in for repairs, it was returned with the exact same problem unresolved. I was told it had been tested and was in working order, yet I spent an entire weekend trying to wash just two loads. The machine repeatedly froze mid-cycle, wasting time, water, and electricity.

To make matters worse, the machine was collected again for further inspection and has now been with Smeg for over three weeks, hasn't been back! I even requested a demonstration to rule out user error, but it’s clear this is a deeper fault that has not been properly addressed. This experience has completely eroded my trust in both the product and the brand. For a company that markets itself as premium, the product quality is appalling. I strongly advise against purchasing this machine. It’s unreliable, and the service is even worse.
