Are Smeg products quality or cosmetics appealing

Have any of you ever experience problems with the Smeg appliances big or small? When we decided to spruce up our kitchen, we chose Smeg. I guess, not everything is a quality product from Smeg rather very ********* aesthetic.

In seven months after the installation of our electric cooker with Ceran top, the oven started to show signs of rust. Having filled in the warranty documents, I duly informed local Smeg supplier. A technician finally came out after six months to complete assessment. Smeg required a list of our cleaning detergents, which were approved and in compliance with Smeg recommendations.

The kettle wrap bubbled, alphabet G fell off. Tried once more to bring this to attention of Smeg, nothing came of it. After years of pursuance, within warranty period Smeg did not come to party. Once the product warranty expired, a Smeg technician came out once again and a quote was sent to rectify the problem, which amount almost half of the purchase price.

Is Smeg a reputable, customer oriented and producer of quality products
