Neat, easy and great service
We recently had a solar system installed. As with these things we were really not sure how big to go and also was worried to just do it with anyone. I can really say that with Smartlight and Jones it was hassle free. The guys were knowledgeable, helpful and most of all the installation was done so neatly. COC received as promised and we have been enjoying the system since day one. I can really highly recomend them.

Neat, easy and great service
We recently had a solar system installed. As with these things we were really not sure how big to go and also was worried to just do it with anyone. I can really say that with Smartlight and Jones it was hassle free. The guys were knowledgeable, helpful and most of all the installation was done so neatly. COC received as promised and we have been enjoying the system since day one. I can really highly recomend them.

HIGHS AND LOWS
I had a solar system installed at my home in December 2025, and overall the installation process was completed successfully and professionally. The system has been working great, and I’m happy with the final result. However, the after-sales support was quite disappointing at first, and there were delays in fulfilling some of the promises made. I also only received my COC about 3 weeks after the installation was completed, which was frustrating. That being said, they still managed to get everything sorted in the end, and the quality of the installation itself was very good. My advice would be to make sure you receive your COC immediately after installation is completed. Overall, I can still highly recommend them for the quality of their solar installation work.

I recently had a 16kW Deye Solar System installed by SmartLight Energy, complete with 24 solar panels and 4 x 5.12kWh Deye Lithium Batteries, and I couldn’t be happier with the service received. From the very beginning until the final installation, Jones assisted me every step of the way with professionalism, patience, and excellent communication. The entire process was smooth, well-organized, and completed to a very high standard. The installation team was knowledgeable, neat, and efficient, and the system is performing perfectly. I also received the Certificate of Compliance (COC) without any hassle, which gave me complete peace of mind. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that truly delivers on their promises and provides outstanding customer service. POOR SERVICE AND FALSE ADVERTISING
WE INSTALLED A 12KVA DEYE SOLAR KIT IN FEB 2026 AND HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED IN THE SERVICE & SYSTEM. THEY CLAIM EXPERT INSTALLATION BUT THE WATER TAP SHOCKED ME. THE EARTHING ON THE INVERTER WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY AS IT STILL SHOCK YOU. THEY ADVERTISE SATISFACTION FIRST, PAYMENT LATER BUT DEMANDED PAYMENT BEFORE THEY LEFT. THEY CAME IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE WITH INSTALLATION IN THE DARK. WE NOW HAVE WATER DAMAGE FROM THE ROOF. THE POOL PUMP WAS NOT CONNECTED AND SAID THAT THEY WILL TAKE A LOOK WHEN THEY ARE IN THE AREA AGAIN. NOW 3 MONTHS NO SHOW. WE STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED OUR COC AFTER NUMBEROUS REQUESTS. THE 24/7 AFTER SALES SUPPORT IS NON EXISTANT. THEY DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE AND IGNORRING WATSAPP MESSAGES. MY EXPECTATION IS THAT THEY SHOULD CONTACT US ASAP REGARDING ISSUES THAT WE ARE EXPERIENCING WITH THE SYSTEM AND TO ISSUE US WITH THE COC FOR THE WORK DONE AS ADVERTISED.

Poor service
Recently installed a solar system and the installer Adam was excellent. There was no wifi ****le in the box - I was given a generic ****le and still waiting for COC for 4 weeks. Gets promised and nothing gets delivered. I macde the mistake of paying once the installation was done. should have waited for COC before paying. Poor service from Smartlight Energy. Would not recommend
