PATHETIC company to deal with

We purchased a Sinotec STL-58U20UM 58" UHD TV, sold by Elite Shopper via Takealot in November 2020. It was GREAT while it lasted. Within a few days, multiple lines started appearing on the screen. Takealot was contacted and they put us in contact with the agent, Skyworth / CN Tronics (still don't know who the actual agent is). They DO NOT reply to queries. After so many ups and downs, being given the run around, our tv was collected by CN Tronics. After following up MULTIPLE times, it was said that we will be refunded. Nobody actually told us which company - CN-Tronics, Skyworth, Elite Shopper, or Takealot - would be refunding / crediting us, despite asking countless time! It has truly been one exceptionally terrible experience to comprehend!! We eventually contacted Takealot and filed a complaint, and their incredibly efficient staff managed to sort out our credit, with MASS emails and daily follow ups on their behalf. Reported in December. TV collected in MAY. Credit passed in JULY. WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE FROM ELITE SHOPPER / SKYWORTH / CN TRONICS AGAIN. We still actually do not know who passed the credit lol, just glad this disaster is over.
