HORRIBLE Speeds

I'm not one to complain easily about small things but this has been a long time coming. singed up for a 14mbps line @skyworks over 15 months ago and to this day have not once experienced the speed i signed up for. I know that its never going to be 14mbps up/down but i'm not even getting close to 6mbps up/down at the same time. you get roughly 600-800kbps download and 200kbps upload. Technicians have asked for speed tests many times and on a speed test the lines show +-14mbps download and 3-4mbps upload, but in reality you never get close to that. With only one device connected to the internet whether it be wireless or cable you never get below 40ms in a online game. (online games stutter so bad you jump from 40-120ms constantly, then the speed rests at about 85-90ms and jumps again)

When i signed up i specifically asked that I be switched over to fibre as soon as @Skyworks can supply me with fibre (i was told this is possible by sales reps)... it's been 15 months now and when i requested to restart my contract and head over to fibre i received a reply saying that "you are currently in month 15 of your 36 month contract. you will only be able to switch over to fibre 4 months before your contract expires" (contracts @skyworks is generally 36months and you have the option to upgrade or downgrade you speeds at the cost of restarting the contract, ie reset it back to 0/36 months)

contacting technicians doesn't help, they do try to assist you but lag and POOR speeds is all you get from it. If you like rubber banding in online games on local servers... skyworks is the way to go ;)

long story short, I would not recommend as it's been +- 8 months of lagging where at some points the line is fine but 9/10 times its horrible and i usually switch over to mobile hotspot as it gives me less lag in games. Don't even try watching stuff like netflix or youtube, it's a HORRIBLE experience. you'd think that a 14mbps line can handle one device gaming and a mobile scrolling through social media or whatever but its impossible
