Not as Bad

Well this is an honest review. I’ve been using Skrill for 3 years now and my experience with them is not so bad but at the same time it’s not so good. When it comes to deposits it’s easy to deposit money but hard to withdraw your funds if you have a verified Skrill account. For you to get the best service between Skrill and your Local Bank you need to use ABSA or Standard Bank. Withdrawal time from Skrill to your ABSA account only takes one day between Monday and Thursday. If you withdraw on a Friday you’ll get your funds on the next working day which is Monday. The customer service is bad, a pain in the ass if you will. It is very difficult to have a conversation with an agent from Skrill so that you can describe your problem, your best bet is trying to email them with a detailed description of your problem then they will reply to you if it is not in their FAQs.

All in all here’s what I recommend if you want to have the best experience with this online bank.

1. Verification is important. Verify your Skrill account. 2. Make sure you have a ABSA or Standard Bank Cheque Account. With ABSA if you can go for “Premium” Cheque. This will make withdrawing from Skrill back to your account easy. 3. Make a deposit using your bank card. This will lower your transaction fees. 4. Opt for Bank Transfer(Wire Transfer) when withdrawing funds from your Skrill account to your Bank Account. It’s costs lesser than $7 compared to the 7,5% withdrawal fee for withdrawing back to your card.
