SKILLS ACADEMY IS *****ULENT!!!!!

So I registered at skills college, and should have make my first payment at the end of August in order to get my study material, unfortunately I was unable to make payment as I had a personal matter to handle and could not carry on emotionally and financially, on the 4 of October I received money in my account and skills college decided to deduct their debut order, after the arrangement was that they deduct on the 30th of each month. I sent an email informing them that I am unable to attend to any study commitments as I am not in a good place financially, and that I would no longer be able to study. I requested for my money to be refunded as I never received any services nor study material from them. I received a reply that I should pay a cancellation fee and that no refund wil be made, How in Gods name do I pay for something that I never used!!! PLEASE HELP ME MAKE SENSE OF THIS!!!!
