Million excuses not to pay out
Why do you have business for foreign people if you are going to have a problem paying out when it's time to claim.? First, it was the fact that my Helper passed on in Zimbabwe, on a visit to her home. Next it was the fact that the Zimbabwe death certificate is handwritten, even though it's stamped with an official stamp. You can just call their Home Affairs to verify the death. Then it was the beneficiaries' affidavits which are very clear with their wishes and reasons. Now, it's what she passed on from even though the Dr has specifically stated that it was undiagnosed. She was unaware of the condition. What next? Promises for calls backs which never materialise. How long does it take to process a claim? In 2nd month now. The beneficiaries are waiting for the money. I wouldn't recommend ypur Domestic Help cover to anyone. It seems it's painful to part with the money whereas it was easy to receive the premiums for years. Kevin has been assisting me. He is nice but nice dows not pay the bills for the beneficiaries.
Also, there was a request that the benefit should be paid to the employer as the beneficiaries have no South African bank accounts. As you can imagine, this is problematic as we need to ensure that the beneficiaries are actually the recipients as originally intended. We have been requesting information and been in regular contact with yourself, the employer - our last communication was the last working day before your complaint, i.e. Friday. As soon as we are able to get the necessary information, we will resolve this issue. Please continue to communicate with us at ***, so we can resolve it speedily.

Please do not posture for the public and make excuses, just finalise your case with a yes or no and the beneficiaries can know where they stand. They are in limbo and life has to go on after their loss. You can do better.

I just need closure on this.
