unfair service

i bought mt bed in july 2017 for around R17000, on the 28th of September 2019 i reported a faulty base. i just received a call telling me i'm out of guarantee and the stupid 8/10 year warranty says i need to pay almost R2500 to have it fix. what is the point of a warranty after spending so must on a supposed quality bed.
