Shyft inflexible verification process
I tried to open a Shyft account but couldn't be verified as my green ID book is too old (1992). I was told (through no fault of Elzabé on the helpdesk that really tried to assist me) that I need to go to a Standard Bank branch or apply for a new smartcard ID. The entire point of a banking app is to remove the need to enter a bank. I can understand my ID is too old but surely my passport, which is far more recent, should be able to be used to verify my account? Nope, only an ID. I can go overseas using my SA passport but I cannot verify my existence using my SA passport to send money overseas! Makes no sense. Inflexible apps / processes drive me insane and actually puts me off the concept entirely. I'm a bit hardass so it ends up being a principle thing
