Gezina SheetStreet staff gossiping about customers in their presence

I was at Sheetstreet Gezina galleries mall at 10:23 am 9th January 2021 and When i entered at the door with some ladies, we sanitized and we did not see the Pegs in a buscket. After Sanitizing the staff at the till was saying something to us but we did not understand what she was saying because she was at the till and we were at the door. We did not hear her because she was far.

Apparantly she was asking us to take pegs and we did not understand her because she was far. Then she came to give us pegs each.

According to Sheetstreet staff, we were refusing to take the pegs. But we did not understand her and did not see the pegs.

My Problem with them is that, they were gossiping about us (customers) while we were listening. They were talking about us as if we were not in the shop. They were saying it in sotho and I heard them but other customers did not hear because they are white and they did not look like they understood. Staff members kept saying, "yahhhhh.., ha ba batle honka di pegs, they want to give us covid. If they dont want to take pegs, we will give them busckets, they want to make us sick and ba re nyatsa".

It was only later when we were done and going out of the shop, one of the staff members was standing at the door to give people pegs.
