**** promotion?

On 26 September I went into the Sheet Street @ Greenstone mall.

A sales rep came and assisted me and advised me of the current sale they are running. They had a board up over the plain flannel blankets saying 2 blankets for R150. I asked about this promotion about 4 times, to make sure that 2 blankets are indeed only R150. I asked if perhaps the promotion means R150 per blanket, but the lady assured me that I get 2 blankets for R150. I double checked with her which blankets were covered under this promotion.

At the sales counter the lady mentioned the price and I queried the promotion again, saying that she is charging me full price for the 2 blankets. The lady advised that I shouldnt worry, the "promotion" discount will apply once I swipe my card for payment. They didnt give me a receipt, saying it will be emailed to me. I have received the receipt via email and also checked my bank statement and I was charged full price per blanket and not the R150 promotion for 2 blankets.

My total I should have paid is R209,99 and not the full amount paid R459.97. I am now highly concerned that these ladies at Sheet Street took advantage of me and cheated me out of my money and how many more people will they take advantage of?
