Delayed payments

URGENT COMPLAINT: Chronic Non-Payment of Student Stipends by KS BUSINESS CONSULTANCY and SETA

I am writing to formally lodge an urgent complaint regarding the ongoing and repeated failure to pay student stipends on time. This issue has persisted for over a year and has now reached a critical stage, causing severe financial hardship for students participating in the programme.

Background

For the past year, student stipends have been consistently delayed without adequate communication or resolution. While KS BUSINESS CONSULTANCY continues to pay its permanent employees on time, interns and students are repeatedly left waiting for stipends that are contractually due to us. These stipends are not discretionary payments they are essential for covering basic living expenses such as rent, transport, food, and other daily necessities.

Immediate Impact

The latest delay, which KS BUSINESS CONSULTANCY has attributed to non-payment by SETA, has placed many students in desperate circumstances. As a direct result of these delays:

- Several students have been unable to pay their rent. - Some are facing eviction and the real possibility of homelessness. - Many are struggling to afford transport, food, and other basic necessities, making it difficult to continue participating in the programme.

This situation is unacceptable and should never be allowed to occur.

Complaint Against KS BUSINESS CONSULTANCY

We are formally lodging a complaint against KS BUSINESS CONSULTANCY for its ongoing failure to safeguard the welfare of the interns and students under its management. Regardless of the reasons provided, the company has repeatedly failed to ensure that students receive their stipends on time while continuing to meet its obligations to permanent staff.

This pattern demonstrates a lack of accountability, poor communication, and a disregard for the financial wellbeing of the students who rely on these funds to survive.

Complaint Against SETA

KS BUSINESS CONSULTANCY has advised that the current delays are due to outstanding payments from SETA. If this is accurate, then SETA also bears responsibility for the hardship being experienced by students. Delays in disbursing funds have serious real-world consequences, including the risk of students losing their accommodation and being unable to meet their basic needs.

Administrative or financial delays should never leave students in such vulnerable circumstances.

Our Requests

We respectfully request the following:

1. Immediate payment of all outstanding stipends without any further delay. 2. Full transparency and accountability from both KS BUSINESS CONSULTANCY and SETA regarding the cause of these delays, the current status of the funds, and the measures being taken to prevent this from happening again. 3. Urgent intervention to investigate this matter and ensure that students are no longer subjected to recurring late payments and unnecessary financial hardship.

Students have exercised patience for far too long. Unfortunately, this has become a recurring problem rather than an isolated incident. We are now experiencing a genuine financial crisis as a result of the continued failure to pay stipends on time.

We respectfully request that this complaint be treated as a matter of urgency and escalated to the appropriate authorities for immediate intervention and resolution.
