very disappointed

we viewed a house 3 times and decided to put in an offer. we were told that it was back on the market as the previous deal had fallen through. our offer was taken to seller who countered us with an additional R100k which we accepted. however if we had not put in an addendum, which the agent never advised, we would be stuck in a legal wrangle with no idea as to when it would end. apparently the previous buyer and seller are in a legal fight and cannot reach an agreement which would hold up our sale? ***** etc has all been mentioned. why then is this house been marketed? why was our time wasted in getting offers etc? with all these questions and disappointment we called the licencsee on Saturday 26th Sept. he told my husband that he would get to the bottom of it and call us back on Monday 28 Sept. well its Tuesday afternoon and we have heard nothing.
