On Friday 30 August, we received a push notification on email about a rental in Irene. I phoned Elaine immediately and expressed our need for a viewing and urgency.

On Saturday we did a viewing with her at 1pm, we insisted that we would take it and if she could please send us the paperwork so that we can sign pay a deposit at our earliest convenience. To my understanding, we were first in line.

She phoned me at 4pm and advised me that she ‘gave’ the rental to the second viewer due to the fact that they will pay 3 months in advance. My first query to her was why did we not receive the first option since we would have done the same in order to secure the rental? And how could she just give it away without doing a credit check? We are disappointed and extremely unhappy about her approach and absolutely shocking service.
