Seeff Rental Department in Hout Bay is SHOCKING!

I am an ex-rental agent myself from the industry, so I am fully aware of just how sharky it is, but never have I known agents to be blatant ***** and *********. I recently had a rental agent FAIL to tell me that the month I assumed my lease was ending was in fact incorrect, and allowed me to move ahead with a move and only when I made contact to handover keys did she point out that I had the wrong month and I was moving out a month early. I have lived in this current apartment for 5 years, and spent ALL of my savings repainting, replacing door handles, sanding and repainting stairs etc. and after everything, the Landlord is making me pay for the full month's rental on this 3 bedroom apartment (all by myself as this is not my flatmates problem of course) and the Rental Agent has BLATANTLY **** to the landlord. They are greedily not even willing to negotiate a price that I can at least afford, and of the course the agent has gone quiet and hasn't admitted once to their mess up - but instead thrown me under the proverbial bus and **** to my landlord to make it look as though I was fully aware when I wasn't. Why would I want to move 1 month earlier than my lease - what do I gain from that?? Surely anyone would know this is not the tenant's mess up but rather the managing agent's? I'm disgusted at how horrifically this was handled and I will NEVER work with Seeff again.
