SEEFF is in complete shambles with unprofessional estate agents

I started renting through SEEFF Properties Southern Suburbs (Cape Town) in December 2019. I experienced difficulties with the estate agency since the very start and should have not proceeded with the lease.

When I app**** for a property in a building called the Iron Works the estate agent, Natheema Konder, processed the application for the wrong property. Because I was pressed with time I did not have the luxury to look for another property and the property I app**** for was no longer available at that time. The estate agent did not even apologise.

Further to this, the incoming inspection was done without me being present. The estate agent did not deliver a clean apartment and I had to arrange an external cleaning company at my cost.

The estate agent was also not responsive when I requested that maintenance be done on the apartment, and I was forced to threaten the company with breach of contract. It took approximately three months for the company to fix a hole in the drywall and the plumbing which leaked. There was no ownership of the request or feedback.

When I moved out SEEFF did not respond to my requests when I requested a statement showing interest earned on my deposit and I had to ask them when they will do the outgoing inspection for the apartment. There was no proactive approach to schedule the appointment even when it was 2 days before I moved out.

SEEFF Southern Suburbs is the most unprofessional estate agency and should not be in operation.
