RE: Damage/Extreme Expenses on my Private Property which was Listed with Seeff Properties Bethal, Mpumalanga

My house was listed at Seeff Properties, Bethal, Mpumalanga (for rent/for sale). I have had bad service from the start (refer my previous review regarding Seeff). Odette Schutte was my agent. She managed to find people to rent my property from 24 November 2017, but we did not sign contact. In the meanwhile, I also found people to rent my property from 1 December 2017. When my husband (Kobus Schoeman) informed Odette Schutte telephonically that we are not going to sign with her, she told my husband: "Jy kan in jou vokken moer in vlieg!" Odette Schutte then informed us that Seeff Properties Bethal withdraw with immediate effect and that I must collect my property keys within 24 hours. Which I did. Now, before all this, the municipal account adds up to the amount of approximately R80,000-00 (of which I pay the levy). The Eskom account adds up to the amount of approximately R26,000-00. All of was supposed to be paid by previous occupants. It was never collected. Now I am stuck with these amounts. Due to these amounts, the people who was going to rent from 1 December 2017 are not moving in, as they do not want to be held liable for the outstanding amounts. Damage to my property is immense! Odette Schutte blatantly just stated that she rents the property to people as is. Lilian, the manager of Seeff Properties Bethal, apparently did inspection after Mr. Pillay (previous occupant) moved out. I went to my property since then and have a LIST of damages to my property. I am NOT going to take responsibility for outstanding amounts to the municipality and Eskom. Please advise and assist. Yours Sincerely Christa Steyn
