Purchase

We came to view our place we recently purchased with agent named chris Kekana. We asked him what the levies costs he said R300. We told him him there quite a few things in the place that needs to be reared. He said the owner will get it sorted. My brother in law then told me levies cannot cost R300 I should request the statement. Which I then did and this was after we signed the offer to purchase. The levies costs are over a 1000. The agent denied saying it was R300. We told we will not be able to aford it. Chris and his principle threatened to charged us a penalty fee which we would not be able to pay for. We were forced to take the place. They then assured us and let us sign a document that the owner will fix everything that was broken in the place. Cracked window, the stove and paint the entire place. None of that was done, we moved into a really messed up place. The owner and Chris are not taking our calls. He said he would bring the document we signed and till this day we never received it. I feel taken advantage of because we a young couple and it was our first purchase. I will never even recommend anyone to purchase with this company. The principal is just as sly and his agent. We cannot even afford to fix up the place.
