In May of 2017 we moved into our new home. From the beginning we had numerious problmes with the previous owner not abiding by stipulations in the purchase contract. In spite of the fact that we aquired this property through SEEF Doringkloof, numerious emails and even personal meetings with the principal, we were told that SEEF only brings purchaser and seller together and they failed to force the previous owner to abide by the contract. From there we saught help from the transfer attorneys, Molefe and Roux, which handled the purchase, asking them to withhold a certain amount of money to ensure that the contract is honored. In spite of that we had to fight to receive the electricity certificate, the electrician had to return to the home and complete a full days work in order to repair issues he had already signed off on. Also stipulated in the contract was the repair of the swimming pool and all regarding the the pool etc. which Cheetah pools comming to repair the pool and after an altercation with the extremely rude owner Christo, the pools is still not repaired once more receiving no help from the attorneys to honor the contract. Alas our dilema became even worse, waiting for the previous owners lawyers to pay an excessive outstanding amount on the electricity bill and service fees we went to transfer ownership of the acount on to our name where we were informed by the city of Tshwane that the property is on a pre - paid system and with immediate inspection the same day, our electrician informed us that our meter was tampered with and that we should immediately report it to the City of Tshwane, which we did. After being there numerious times and reporting this issue we retuned to inform the relevant people at block H . After the contractors came to cut out electricity and us returning once again, we were again re-assured that the issue will be handled a new meter will be instsalled and the quilty party, we assume a previous owner, will be held responsible and that we will not be penalised with a fine for tampering with the meter. Yet up to date, we have not recieved and feedback and in a last desperate attempt we contacted our local DA to assist in this matter, by follwing their instructions we sent another email to Tshwane and still not receiving any reference number or response. Is there any one that can share in a similar story and perhaps give us advise on how to address these problems.
