Latent defects and ECC non-compliant upon inspection

My partner and I recently bought a house in Greenside. Upon moving in we discovered a number of latent defects including but not limited to undisclosed damp, damaged and broken fittings, broken solar pool panels and a number of electrical faults. We’ve subsequently had an independent electrician come in to assess the legitimacy of the ECC and found a number of non-compliant issues (among others, unearthed fittings in arms reach, 30 amp breakers on the DB, broken light fittings and a faulty plug). The ECC was also never signed as received by the previous owner.

We’ve subsequently called in numerous other professionals including a structural engineer, plumber, damp specialist and pool technician to report back formally on all issues found – at our own cost. All of this information has been submitted to Seeff with a request to rectify the situation as they facilitated the sale and were paid a commission to do so. In response we have either been lead around in circles from department to department or have received emails were they deny responsibility and refuse to help us. Many of our emails remain unanswered.
