Absolute useless agent and agency. Daylight ******s!!!

So I’m absolutely shocked at the service I have been provided By Seef Properties Blouberg. Firstly during these extremely tough times I have had to downscale as per this Covid 19 pandemic. As most people I was not able to work for a period of time during the hard lockdown and asked for relief for a month while at home. The landlord agreed and stated I would only have to pay half the rental for that month which I was happy with. Seef Blouberg decided to charge me a full month and deducted this from my deposit. Absolutely disgraced they also decided to deduct an extra 4K from my deposit on top of the full months rent which I was shocked about it almost seemed surreal. After doing my maths I had told the absolute useless admin lady Beryl Sheik that these figures were incorrect and after some stern and aggressive phone calls from her she finally did her job and the 4K was added back onto my remaining deposit.

So now I decided to move out after all of this. Our new agent who I was only introduced a few months prior to me moving out a lady by the Name of Marcelle Fourie.

She is an absolute disgrace and the worst agent I have had over the years of renting. On the outgoing inspection after getting some cleaning ladies to help me clean the property which I’m my opinion was spotless she decides to tell me on key handover that the place is dirty. I asked her what is dirty and all she could tell me was the light fittings. Really now??? So I waited 12 days after to get my outgoing inspection report. After numerous emails and messages just being ignored by herself.

Now I receive a damage and repair report from her. Basically stating I need to build a new house. Absolutely shocked with this report she decides to charge me for items that were not even on the report. ******* as now I had to seek legal help to resolve this. After many emails back and forward with her manager Nancy Oeschger they slowly eliminated items from the repair list. Marcelle Fourie could not even determine what was west and tear but just decided to hand me this massive repair report.

Now down to 1 item on the report I’m still unhappy as they want to charge me for minor marks on the wall and a small paint chip. Waiting now on the quote from their handyman. Disgraced!!!

They also then decided to charge me after I had hired people to clean the property R900.00 for their cleaning service without even giving me the option to get my own cleaning team to clean what they thought was not cleaned properly.

I’m disgusted with this service and advise anyone renting from them especially if your agent is Marcelle Fourie to be aware they are absolutely useless and unfair to their tenants.

I’m going to reporting this issue to the Estate Agency Affairs Board as well as calling into Cape Talk to warm people from getting **********.

I’m in the process of looking to buy a house next year but unfortunately will never buy through Seef. Worst agency and staff I’ve had to deal with over the years!!
