REPLACEMENT OF FAULTY MATTRESS - BIASED PENALTY
Manufacturer refuses to concede that replacement mattress is again defective from a product design/manufacture point. At the same time the Manufacturer wishes impose an unacceptable biased penalty charge before any further consideration. The penalty charge is being levied for a 4 year period, whereas, the first defective mattress was replaced 2 years ago and is now also defective. Date of first complaint 7 February 2013 (mattress replaced) Date of second complaint of the 2nd defective Matress after the first replacement January 2015.

With regards to your complaint, , please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you may have experienced in respect to your mattress. At Sealy, we take pride in ensuring our customer's satisfaction.
As per our earlier communication via email the best we can offer you is R2 050 (incl. Vat); which is a significant reduction from the warranty fee of R5 349.34 that we are entitled to charge you in accordance with the terms and conditions of our warranty. The current suggested retail price of the mattress that you will received is R11 250.00.
The replacement product will be from our new range and thus your 152x188 Embrace mattress will be exchanged for a 152X188 Savona Latex mattress. We will also freeze the amount for you for 3 months thus giving you time to consider our offer.
