Money sucking institution, they do anything to suck

My son is with saving grace fro the beginning of this year and I can tell you, this isntitution has been nothing but a headache. All they care about is money and will try to find creative ways of sucking out extra out of you. My son didnt finish videos on creative arts and some other stuff. This institution had the ***** to sendme *** telling that they are extending his programme by three whole months and I shouldnt worry because they will charge me the same fees for those three months in the grade because according to these bloodsuckers, he wont complete on time. I made my son sit in less than an hour those tasks were submitted. A DANCE video, caused these ******** to increase the programme by three months and they want to collect three months additional fees for that video. This cild passed all assessments for the year and sumitted all required but was uncomfortable with dancing front of a camera and they want to extend his grade 8 programme by three months for a creative arts video, not maths, not english or afrikaans , creative arts. Their biggest problem is I pay fees on time every month and they saw an opportunity of making additional R7000 out of me using creative arts. Let's also not forget that in the second term my *** was erroneously blocked and my son could access the exam on time. They never apologised for claiming we were in arrears while the account was up to date, not a single missed payment was missed.

Good Day Joyce

Thank you for your message. I must be honest, I have no idea what you are referring to and would have appreciated if you contacted our team on the student portal, via email or call to clarify the 3 months message you are referring to.

There is no way that we would tell you your child must do 3 months because of creative arts, that is literally impossible and we have never and would never do that. The parents we have been making contact with are parents on the remedial program who have up to 18 months and special needs curriculum who have up to 18 months to complete a grade.

Even those who have up to 18 months on those programs can finish in 12 months if they finish within the academic year. It is therefore disappointing that as a parent with a child at the institution where we have various communication channel, you did not get clarity on the email you received as it could have been a misunderstanding or a general message or you could be on par and received a message in error and we simply resolve it in a quick call or email.

With regards to your accounts been blocked in errror, I’m sorry about that error and you should have received an apology for that and I’m sorry you didn’t but that is not related to this 3 months thing. There is no way we will delay a child who has completed the academic year and whatever message you got will be clarified on Thursday morning by our admin department, communication is key when we are dealing with children’s education and I wish you had given us that opportunity as I can most certainly tell you that this is a simple misunderstanding, error or miscommunication that could have been resolved by contacting our office. Nonetheless we will be in contact with you to resolve this on Thursday morning.

I have checked the system and if I am correct your child is on the remedial program in grade 8. You received the message as a check in as we are doing with all parents on the program as students on the remedial program as up to 18 months to finish, how long the child takes is up to the parent and you can finish within 12 months and as an institution we have no problem with this as long as all assessments for the year is completed. The message you received was definitely not well communicated or was misunderstood and this will be sorted out on Thursday but I can confidently tell you your message was not what we intended.

Thank You

Kind Regards

Dee
