Sassa's worst service
This has been the worst experience ever Sassa jhb E 90 Loveday St, Johannesburg, 2000. I was at the Sassa offices from 8:30 till 15:30as I was attended around that time, when I handed over my application for child grant for 2 of my children, I was informed that I was under investigation. I lost my job in June meaning that I can't provide for my kids. I was told to go to customer service and when I got there they told me I am under investigation for not coming to renew my card in 2013 and ofwhich I was shook by it. I once app**** for grant for my first daughter in 2013, I got about 3-4 payouts and than I never got it ever again. I had a very sickly child ofwhich I could not be able to take time out and go to Sassa cause the thought of going there drained me luckily my parents where there to help with my child's needs and luckily found a job which paid an income of R4000, after deductions I literally had R3000. Back to the Sassa offices when I was at the customer service section, the lady told me that I was supposed to come to Sassa to stop the grant once I get employment and out of confusion I asked, "but the money stopped automatically?" she said it was my duty still to come to the offices. How the hell does a person come to stop something that they are not getting, I am still puzzled by that question. She told me in order for this to be solved I need to bring my payslips from 2011 and I must bring bank statements for those years, how do I even get that??? My daughter's latest school report is also required, isn't it the government's duty to know and be able to have access to those things? ...mind you I was in Matric in 2011 and was not employed or pregnant at that time, I only started working July 2013 and that puzzled me even worse. I am hurt, devastated, troubled, I went there to seek government help as an unemployed citizen but they failed me ?
