SASSA Springs treats citizens poorly without any dignity and respect - shameful!!!!

I accompanied a senior citizen that is hard of hearing to the SASSA Springs office, he needed to apply for his old age grant on Friday for the 2nd time as we were send away earlier in the week and told that they only attended to old age grants on Fridays and Mondays and pointed to a document on the window informing you of what documents were needed. We returned on Friday with all the necessary documents as laid out of the paper on their window, but were met by a obnoxious rude lady named Thuli, after going for smoke breaks with all the ladies in the office frequently she spoke down to us, demanded I remove myself and leave the gentleman's side, she spoke down to us and called me "Whenna" and mumbled things in her native tongue. She then abruptly threw 2 documents in front of the gentleman and mumbled that he needed to have them completed and return again on Monday. Leaving their office I was disgusted and annoyed as I felt a loss of our dignity.

We were met by Kenny the car guard outside SASSA Springs office and he complained that this lady Thuli would frequently meet Nigerians and Pakistanis outside in the street, she would accept cash and Kentucky Fried chicken food parcels from them, these same people would enter the office briefly and come out never to have to return. He complained that their native mothers and sisters would be send back and forth for days by this rude disrespectful individual Thuli, not concerned about their transport, money or health problems! He said that something needs to be done that people like that should be relieved of their office and replaced by competent friendly, helpful personnel instead, that is committed to serve the public with respect and dignity. I tried to report this bad behavior on the staff at SASSA Springs to the authorities but only came across numerous other complaints about other SASSA offices as well, something needs to be done about it, its not acceptable for them to treat our citizens so poorly!!!!
