SASSA Payout????

I close elderly family friend is having a bad experience with SASSA mostly with the Bellville Offices. On the 29th April 2018 he went to withdraw R250 from his SASSA card and on that same day his wallet with all his cards was ******. The next day he went to SASSA in Bellville and was informed that he needs to go on the 11 May 2018 to the Goodwood Civic Center. On the 11 May he went and asked to speak to someone in charge, he was informed that the Supervisor went shopping and he has to wait for him come back. After waiting for about an hour for him, the Supervisor gave him forms to take to the bank and to fill it in. He did that and gave it back to the Supervisor who told him they will process it and phone him when his card is ready. They insisted on him to give his number and he did.

After phoning SASSA Bellville office about 14 times and them cutting the phone off, we got through to Shannon, who told him that she will look for his documents and make sure that it will be processed. She contacted him later to confirm that his application has been processed. She told him that his left over money and the new months money will both be paid into his account on the 1st June 2018.

On the 22 May he received a SMS to bring his ID and get he will get his SASSA card at the SASSA pay point.

4 June he went back to Bellville Offices, had to deal with alot of rude staff and waited for nearly 3 hours, when he spoke to Shannon who told him the SMS is a **** and there's nothing she can do its not their problem that he didn't get paid. Its his own problem to get his money now and that they dont want to help him.

We have phoned ********** - who puts the phone off in our ear each time. SASSA Cape Town - ********** just not answering at all Head Office SASSA- ********** - just puts the phone off after 2 rings. Even Head Office Pretoria doesnt answer!!!

this is unacceptable! He has been up and down to Bellville Offices and been phoning them and still the money isn't being paid to him that Shannon promised him. Only end of Mays money was paid in and not the other outstanding money. Bad services overall!!!
