SASSA office, Germiston

SASSA, Germiston, is the worst Government Department I have dealt with. After 5 visits, from April 2022 to May 2022, waiting in a queue from 06h00, I've been turned away. Excuses range from "system is down", "understaffed", "pensioner day is no longer on Tuesday, return on Monday". (This is relayed to the SASSA applicants after an approximate three hour wait, standing in a queue outside the building.) Today when I mentioned to the SASSA employee, when asked, "What are you here for?", that I've already been turned away five times, she rudely retorted, "you can come back for the sixth time!" The lack of respect towards the public is disgraceful, lacking empathy. Everytime we attempt to apply, there are transport costs involved. Another observation is that SASSA employees randomly select people in the queue, to enter the office for assistance. Treat everyone equally, with dignity and respect we are all in need. How are we expected to survive? Please investigate SASSA, Germiston; and train the staff in how to deal courteously with the public.
