SASSA Inconsiderate staff
I got to SASSA offices at about 7:20am as had been requested to arrive before 7:30 a week before, fell in the queue till ultimately it was my turn just about 11am where I was assisted by a lady who did her best, till she advised me that I was only missing ONLY ONE documents, my salary slip. I obliged and rush to get it with my wife taking up space to stand for me.
Horror
I came back just after 12pm and joined the queue moving along. With three officials only assisting the longest queue which I was in, at times one or two of them will disappear and we are left with only one. Long story short, at exactly 15:57 the lady official immediately after finishing helping a client and I am next before they put tools down at 4pm, she jumps up and says she is going to eat.
I mean really, you wait the whole day not to eat, when you are left with 3minutes and a client infront of you considering that you know you are closing in 3 minutes, you say you want to go have lunch, was she going to die in those minutes if she had assisted me.
This is a dilemma affecting all visitors whom one I heard an old pensioner spent the whole week visiting the office without assistance being told to get this and that and the other 4 days he visited SASSA only to turn go back home to come the next day.
